Kankan Minisuka!

In a rare turn of events, Mia joins Ava and Karen on stage for a "miniskirt cancan." And why have these former arch rivals finally decided to call a ceasefire? We suspect that Karen - mature, sensible and exceptionally polite - probably acted as peacemaker, persuading Mia to join them for their latest charity benefit:

TISA's commentary:

In this show, the girls are wearing miniskirts to show off their frilly white panties under multicolored petticoats, with special emphasis laid on the Royal Flash throughout the entire performance.

The Gallery of Bottoms (2)

More high-resolution snapshot of the cancan's most iconic move; art and animation by TISA.

TISA's commentary:

Lillian's Bottom is sleek and shiny and very well-shaped. Whenever she dances the Cancan, she treats the audience to the Royal Flash, her plump, ripe Bottom highlighted by the camera - though she doesn't seem to be aware of that.

Blackstripes

Rival dance group Miasma storms the stage with their own take on the cancan. The original lineup features Mia, Rena and Carol in dazzling, black-striped costumes and lingerie:

At this time, tensions between Mia and Lilly have diminished somewhat; having settled most of their differences, they've agreed to employ the dance-floor as their "field of combat."

Unfortunately, trouble is never far off, as the demoness Carol is always planning some new mischief on the side...

...which probably explains why there's so much bottom-smacking during the Royal Flash sequences :)

Naturally, Rena is the prime recipient of these "playful" swats (though she may not appreciate the sentiment as much as her two companions)...

Of course, with so many plump, ripe bottoms on display, a good smart spanking or two is virtually inevitable under the circumstances :)

Everyday scenes

...from Miyamae-ku, where the Autumn breeze reigns supreme in street and schoolyard alike. First, we have the lovely Lillian practicing her freestyle at the local playground...

Followed by a newly-arrived Maria exploring the neighborhood scenery (unaware that the Miyamae Mistral has much the same idea)...

Ava & Karen: Duo's Dreaming

The Church Fundraiser continues with Ava and Karen at the helm for the second act. Another immaculate vidclip with traditional costumes (complete with black suspender stockings beneath snowy white petticoats) featuring TISA's signature "swats" throughout the performance.

Reverend Chapel seems to be getting his money's worth this year. You can, of course, watch the entire performance on Youtube:

A Bit of Slap and Tickle?

Evidently, it's time for another church fundraiser, with Anna, Sarah & Maria stepping up to do the honors...

This time 'round, the girls have opted for frilly red tangas beneath lacy white petticoats (with a generous supply of "slap 'n' tickle" thrown in for good measure)...

The Honorable Reverend Chapel was no doubt pleased with this prize winning performance, which inspired recording-breaking donations amongst his parishioners. In fact, the show went over so well that he uploaded a video to the Church Website (which eventually ended up on Youtube).

More Animated Gifs

So...it's late summer in Miyamae-ku, and the Gym Team is holding its annual recruitment drive (meaning it's time for May, June and Ava to demonstrate their athletic prowess):

Despite the overwhelmingly positive response to the 'exhibition,' most of the applicants signed up as observers.

Ava En Solo

Here's another concept design we came up with a few years back. "Phase Two" was meant to be a sequel to Tricolor Angels, following up on the trials and tribulations of the Miyamae Five. One of the ideas we discussed involved solo adventures for each of the main characters.

At the time, Ava was something of a fan favorite, so we considered filling in her back story; explaining how she originally met Lily and became a member of the Angels (some of you might recognize the central graphic; it was one of our very first collaborative efforts).

Teabagging

According to our good friend Tisa, the time honored art of  "茶巾スカート" has a long and venerable history dating back (at least) to the 1960s. More recent examples may be found on youtube (if you're incredibly lucky):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G4KnPfKNfM

Not sure of the exact details, but the girls seem to be "playing" a game of penalties. Every time they a mistake, their skirts are gradually drawn up reveal their knickers, after which they're subjected to further indignities. Evidently, contests of this nature were quite popular back in the early 2000s. Unfortunately, all things must eventually pass, and "Tea Cloth Skirt" (aka "Teabagging") appears to have disappeared from the airwaves over the past two decades.

Miniskirt Police

All right: episodes of the classic 90s Japanese comedy Miniskirt Police (ミニスカポリス) are a little difficult to locate in the present day, but we managed to track down a few VHS transfers on YouTube, Niconico and similar online venues. "Minisuka" has an almost legendary status in its country of origin, the kind of show which defies description even in its native language.

The basic premise seems to involve two bumbling police constables enticing pretty young starlets out of their clothing (there's also something about a deranged stage magician, but we haven't quite figured that part out yet).

Most of the humor revolved around scantily-clad models being humiliated in their lingerie (kind of like Naughty and Funny except without the hidden cameras). Scripts usually required at least one girl to be stripped down to her bra and knickers by the end of each episode, sometimes more depending on whether the eponymous WPCs were taking part in the festivities.

The original series ran from 1996 to 2001, followed by a number of revivals between 2003 and 2006. The most recent update, launched in August 2013, is considerably less explicit and replaces the main cast with an all-girl pop group, following current trends in Japanese entertainment.

Rediscovered!

Our special thanks to Gerry-AAB for providing this previously unseen MMD footage by Tisa. From what Gerry tells us, this piece was a private commission dating from February 2022:

As always, Tisa's animation is of the highest professional calibre, featuring exceptional choreography, camera angles and special effects. To quote Gerry himself, "He did such an amazing job on it, and I couldn't be any more proud!" We're in complete agreement there - the twirling sequences are a particularly impressive addition to the general repertoire, which we hope to see repeated in the near future.

The Two Ninnies

The Two Ronnies was a television comedy sketch show created by Bill Cotton for the BBC, which aired from 1971 to 1987. It featured the double act of Barker and Corbett, the Two Ronnies of the title. The show was produced annually between 1971 and 1987. It had many notable writers including John Cleese, Spike Milligan, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, and Terry Jones. In addition, Barker used the pseudonym Gerald Wiley when writing sketches.

The show featured comic sketches in which Barker and Corbett appeared both together and separately, with various additions giving the program the feeling of a variety show. The sketches often involved complex word-play, much of it written by Barker, who also liked to parody officialdom and establishment figures, as well as eccentrics. In addition to their regular TV series, the Ronnies also made a number of Christmas specials and telemovies, the best known of which being Futtocks End, The Picnic and By The Sea.

In common with similar British productions of the time, The Ronnie's humor included healthy doses of innuendo and the occasional baring of a starlet's knickers, particularly during the "serial" segments such ''Death Can Be Fatal.'' Full-figure lingerie scenes were much rarer than in The Benny Hill Show, but young female extras appeared in their underwear on occasion throughout the Seventies and early Eighties.
