So, we've finally gotten round to devising a Looney Tunes-style ending for Maroon Cartoons (featuring Glory's white cotton panties, of course). Instead of Porky stuttering out his famous line, we have Glory's best side filling the screen with the words "The End" superimposed over her plump, ripe bottom:

The Panty Wars

Presenting our latest OS project: The Panty Wars! Panty Wars is the heart-warming story of a group of Shibuya college girls who start photographing each other's underwear to post on the school website. The pranks escalate to a LEGALLY BINDING WAGER in which the losers will be forced to model their bare essentials in public. The result is wall-to-wall knickers as each contestant struggles to maintain her clothing along with her dignity!

So, there's a huge argument going on over at DeviantART at the moment; apparently, "traditional" artists want AI banned from the internet until the end of time.

Speaking for myself, I completely disagree. The technology can now be used to improve artwork. Compare the two pics posted below - tradition media enhanced by Artificial Intelligence. It's pretty obvious which one looks better.

Sooner or later, we'll be able to produce an entire manga in less than a day, using just simple line drawings and an AI program.

Miniskirt Police

 All right: episodes of the classic 90s Japanese comedy Miniskirt Police (ミニスカポリス) are a little difficult to locate in the present day, but we managed to track down a few VHS transfers on YouTube, Niconico and similar online venues. "Minisuka" has an almost legendary status in its country of origin, the kind of show which defies description even in its native language. 

The basic premise seems to involve two bumbling police constables enticing pretty young starlets out of their clothing (there's also something about a deranged stage magician, but we haven't quite figured that part out yet).

Most of the humor revolved around scantily-clad models being humiliated in their lingerie (kind of like Naughty and Funny except without the hidden cameras). Scripts usually required at least one girl to be stripped down to her bra and knickers by the end of each episode, sometimes more depending on whether the eponymous WPCs were taking part in the festivities.

The original series ran from 1996 to 2001, followed by a number of revivals between 2003 and 2006. The most recent update, launched in August 2013, is considerably less explicit and replaces the main cast with an all-girl pop group, following current trends in Japanese entertainment.

Up To His Old Tricks Again...

Yes, Benny Hill will do literally anything to meet a pretty girl. In this 'silent movie' sketch, Benny dresses up as an old maid then finds himself alone in a room with four sweet young things (apologies for the grainy screencaps):

Screamingly Funny

First, let me apologize in advance for the low resolution of these clips; some of the older content is difficult to find and the playback tends to be a little 'choppy' around the edges. All the same, the girls featured in these skits are (as always) utterly stunning and even seem to find the pranks 'screamingly' funny - once they've had the hidden cameras pointed out to them. Probandose Pantalones

Ever hear the one about the Big Bottomed Girl trying on a pair of stretch jeans? OK, this one is about as silly as it gets, but it's still a heck of a lot of good, clean fun:

Love the way her bottom jiggles as she tries on each new pair :) So far as I can tell "probandose pantalones" is Spanish for "trying on pants," but judging by the vid-clips posted below, I suspect something may have been lost in translation:

Loiras vs Morenas

You gotta hand it to those ingenious Brazilians; nobody else could have come up with a show that enticed pretty young women to shed their clothing in public (OK, there's also the Russians, the French, the Italians and the Japanese, but you get my point).

The program in question was Festa DoMallandro ("Mallandros Party"), and the segment portrayed above was  Loiras vs Morenas - "blondes vs brunettes. As the name suggests, the contestants played incredibly silly games which required them to strip down to their bras and panties, usually cheered on by a rampant audience.

Festa ran for a total of six seasons between 1997 and 2002, achieving a level of success rarely surpassed to the present day. Needless to say, the weekly stripteases undoubtedly contributed to the show's high ratings and popularity with the general public.

A similar concept turned up around the same time in Allegria Geral, which seems to have been closely patterned after Festa. The 'blondes vs brunettes' trope was particularly evident in the musical numbers, where the female cast danced in their bare knickers for several minutes at a time. If the example posted above is anything to go by, Brazilian chicas take great pride in their choreographic abilities.

Naughty and Funny

OK, most of the gags are almost certainly staged, but Ukraine's Naughty and Funny (Голые и смешные) features some of the most beautiful women on the planet falling out of their clothes at inopportune moments.

The pranks usually revolve around pretty young girls undressing in public or being filmed by a hidden camera, supposedly without their knowledge. In other cases, regular working guys are suddenly confronted with a stunningly gorgeous blonde disrobing in plain sight (as in the video posted below) with the usual "hilarious" consequences.

British Comedies of the 1970s

The 1970s were a kind of Golden Era for the British television and film industries. As Hammer, Ealing and Amicus rose to prominence, BBC, ITV and Thames cornered the market on comedies, dramas and police procedurals. There was no shortage of risque content either; the Carry On gang were at the height of their game, Benny Hill was elevating farce to the level of an artform and the hottest part of the Sun was page three. Virtually every TV series produced after 1969 incorporated gratuitous panty shots, unexpected stripteases, wardrobe "malfunctions" and full-figure lingerie scenes. As the decade progressed, the studios' costume departments kept pace with the fashion industry, especially where the actresses' underwear was concerned. Female cast members wore floral bras and briefs during the early seventies, eventually giving way to gauzy French intimates towards the Eighties. It's interesting to note that this obsession with the bare essentials wasn't confined to rom-coms and variety shows; "dolly birds" turned up in productions as disparate as UFO, The Sweeney and The Professionals.

British Comedies of the 1960s

Ok, let's get this thing out in the open. Everyone loves panties. Don't try to deny it; panties are an almost universal passion, one which crosses social and cultural boundaries without exception. You can see them virtually everywhere you look; billboards, magazines, window displays and every known form of electronic media. Which would, of course, include the television and film industries, both of which enjoy a major presence on the web.

 

Oddly enough, despite the proliferation of cinematic blogsites on the intertubes, there is comparatively little information available on the bra-and-panty genre (if that's the right word). While you can find reams of data relating to petticoats, corsets or even opera gloves in mainstream film, the net seems to have developed a blind spot when it comes to unmentionables.

 

To demonstrate my point, I ran a Google search for "underwear scenes in film and TV" a few nights ago. I expected to find references to Edison's 'Black Maria' or Vitagraph's 'Mlle Elegantine', but the historical landscape could best be described as an uncharted wasteland. Aside from a few blogs similar to this one, no one seems to have attempted a comprehensive history of lingerie in western cinema.

Most of the sites I consulted listed perennial favorites such as Melanie Griffith in Working Girl or Cameron Diaz in Charlie's Angels, but very few mentioned the unsung heroines the classic era. A strange oversight indeed, considering that the Celebrated Lingerie Shot has a rich and colorful history stretching back beyond the memory of the present generation - even as far as the long-forgotten era of Monochrome Filmstock.


Contrary to popular belief, gratuitous panty shots didn't begin with Body Double. As most native Brits can tell you, panty-gags were a well-loved staple of 'bawdy' comedy during the 60s and 70s - and that's to say nothing about classic TV shows like Benny Hill, Doctor at Large or The Two Ninnies.

Naked and Funny "Stop Smoking"

 Naked and Funny's next program will take place throughout the city.

To gentlemen who smoke on the roadside, the girls tell them to quit smoking in amazing ways.

Anna approaches and speaks to a gentleman smoking a cigarette in the square.

"I'm sorry, this is a place where you shouldn't smoke."

In fact, that's not the case. The gentleman told her to leave.

Anna then turned to her back and grabbed her skirt with her hands.

And as it is ..

She lifted her skirt vigorously and showed her little ass!

At the bottom of her is the word "no smoking".

Anna looked back at her and said, "No smoking!"

The gentleman was very surprised to see her.

The prank seems to be a great success.

Another gentleman came, so this time Ava went.

When she came in front of the gentleman, she suddenly revealed her bottom.

The gentleman was very surprised at this. The gentleman couldn't move from the spot.

She wore only a thin Thong, so almost all of her Bottoms were visible.

Ava then approached the gentleman and she robbed him of his cigarette.

The gentleman couldn't resist at all.

Next was Sarah's turn. But she was embarrassed, so Anna accompanied her.

"How embarrassing! I want to quit soon."

"No, it's a lot of fun !!"

"Hey! Sarah. That gentleman sees a lot of our Bottom!"

Anna points to her lush Bottom and speaks to Sarah.

Sarah looks very embarrassed.

For the last gentleman, she played a trick with three people.

They wiggle their little Bottom.

Then they turned around at the same time and said "No Smoking!".

Ava and Sarah smile with a big smile. Sarah still looks embarrassed.

Anna and Ava then go by the gentleman and tell the truth.

Of course he smiled very much.
