And now for another trip down memory lane with some old school "gag" cartoons. First, two beautifully drawn pieces by the great Arthur Ferrier:
...followed by an archetype French maid by Dan DeCarlo (of "Archie" fame)...
...an unfinished piece by "Morrice" (I'd be interested to know what the punchline was for this one):
So, we've finally gotten round to devising a Looney Tunes-style ending for Maroon Cartoons (featuring Glory's white cotton panties, of course). Instead of Porky stuttering out his famous line, we have Glory's best side filling the screen with the words "The End" superimposed over her plump, ripe bottom:
Yes, the missing episode from the 1946 Glory Bee series has finally turned up and is currently undergoing restoration. In this ten minute short, the last day of school ends with a good, smart spanking on the buns when our mischeivous heroine is called up to "The Seat of Learning!" Here's a screencap from the opening sequence featuring Glory's white cotton panties at center stage:
As our good friend Tom Isa has pointed out, it's unfortunate that panchira has virtually disappeared from the small screen over the past ten years; panty shots and upskirt takes were a defining element of Japanese animation for nearly five decades before American puritan values set in. This image features Saori & Keiko updated to the late 90s, when ecchi and fan service reached an all-time high. In the era of Aika, Najica and Yadamon, scenes like this were extremely common back in the day.
Today, we have some screencaps from the old Glory Bee cartoons of the 1940s. According to Mark Donstein's Toonapedia, the animated shorts of the postwar period were collected and restored by Le Cine Achive De Paris and released in a DVD Boxed Set in 2006 (proving that French preservation societies treat animated material with far greater respect than their American counterparts). However, as the Glory Bee Collection is only available in Europe, screencaps from the series are virtually unknown in America.

Different Dimension wasn't quite sure what to make of this Glory Bea cartoon:
The Big Win was an Italian game show broadcast between 1987 and 1992. Overwhelmingly successful in its heyday , it was infamous for its gratuitous stripteases, some of which included up to eight girls undressing before the camera at once.
Our girls are back (well, three of them, anyway) for the third January Show; a spirited rendition of Kitten on the Keys in short skirts, white panties and black Mary-Janes. Lots of high kicks and Royal Flashes; many thanks to our good friend Tom for this beautifully animated piece.
